Do you stock the lake?

In the spring of 2017 we stocked the lake and started on a feeding program. Currently we have stock bluegill, large-mouth bass, black crappie, and fathead minnows. This combination creates a nice and stable food chain and ecosystem and by excluding catfish we keep the lake water a little more clear and friendly for swimmers.

Our feeding program employs three feeders that we run most of the year while the water temperature is appropriate. The feeders go off twice a day and it is a fun to watch all of the top water action while the fish are feeding.

At the moment we are focusing on growth of the first generate of bass is we advise releasing all larger bass and black crappie caught. You are free to keep the bluegill as they grow quickly and are already eating size. When catching smaller bass we need to take them out to ensure they so no compete for food with the larger first generation bass.

Do you have life jackets?

As life jackets are required for ANY water related activities we provide a number of lifejackets of various sizes. If you have a large number in your party it may be that we do not have enough for every size to accommodate you all at once. We are always welcome to bring your own life jackets if you have one. We do not provide infant or toddler life jackets.

Do you have fishing equipment?

We have a good number of small and medium sized fishing poles with various baits. If multiple people want to fish at once or you want a better selection of lures we suggest you bring your own poles.

What kinds of water activities do you have?

Besides swimming, and fishing we have two paddle boards, three kayaks, and a large canoe. There is a diving platform on our dock as well as a easy to get in and our set of steps. The kayaks have rod holders which make fishing from the kayak very easy and enjoyable.
